• <br />Mr. Oxian distributed a report on 716 W. Colfax with a <br />recommendation from he and the staff that the building be <br />upgraded from C/10 to S/11. Mr. Nimtz made a motion to <br />upgrade the building according to the recommendation; Mrs. <br />Choitz seconded; motion passed. Mr. Oxian requested that the <br />Commissioners look at the building before the next meeting to <br />help determine whether it is eligible for landmark status. <br />d. Legal <br />No Report <br />e. Public Relations & Community Education <br />No Report <br />f. Environmental Impact Statement <br />No Report <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Small Town Survey <br />• Ms. Kiemnec reported that at a recent mtg. with Mr. James <br />Conley they discussed the Small Town Survey and he suggested <br />that Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana might be able to <br />put together funding for an intern to help complete the County <br />Summary Report. Mr. Newburn made a motion to pursue the <br />funding; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. <br />• <br />h. Nominating Committee <br />Mr. Nimtz presided over the Committee Report and Elections. He <br />reported that the nominees were: Mrs. Sporleder for president, <br />Mr. Oxian for vice-president, Mr. Newburn for treasurer, and Mr. <br />Hayes for secretary. He asked for nominations from the floor and <br />there were none. Mrs. Choitz made a motion that the Nominating <br />Committee Report be accepted and that the Secretary be instructed <br />to cast a unanimous ballot for all nominees; Mr. Nimtz seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />7. Old Business <br />a. Water Landmarks <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported on the information she had obtained on the <br />Water Landmarks program. It involves national recognition of the <br />4 <br />
