There
will be two sets done. Mr. Wasielewski asked if these would be
bound as Mr. Crumlish had had them done and Ms. Peck said the
books would come out of the $8,000.00. Mr. Oxian asked if these
cards would have the history on them and was told that if there
was a history, it would be on the card. Mrs. Price was asked if she
had had a meeting of the City Survey Committee, and she replied that
there has been no immediate need for a meeting until more is known
about the funding. Mr. Wasielewski then said he had spoken to the
mayor this morning on this subject, and he was asked if the
Community Development Grant proposal had been submitted and it
was clarified that it was submitted the first week in January.
Mr. Wasielewski was told that the Mayor would check with Mr.
Ellison and then report back to him. Mr. Oxian reported that
the proposal - the map of which areas would be covered and a
specific letter of request was submitted, a copy was likewise sent
to Mr. Parent. Mr. Wasielewski remarked that the $8,000.00 was
"still up in the air at this particular point", and he will work
diligently toward obtaining it.
Budget and Finance
There was no report from this committee
• Historic Districts
I ir, r1asielewski wished to have a report from either Ms. Teck or
Mr. Oxian concerning North Shore 4evelopments and one from Mrs.
Price concerning West Washington. She was asked if a name had been
chosen for the proposed district, and sle replied that as of
now, none had been decided and it was one of the things they
will be discussing at their next meeting. Mr. Oxian remarked
that there were some real pointed questions asked at the meeting
and deep down comments made. He said that in his opinion over
50% were interested in a district as of the present time. He
said a number of points were discussed at the general meeting,
including governmental agencies that may be involved, street
lights, dead ends, the river bank, etc. He said much was
being accomplished even before a district was designated.
Mrs. Price then reported on the subcommittee for the West
it Washington district and stated that it had met once formally
and once informally.
