South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />,escheduled Regular Meeting - January 4, 1995 <br />6. NEW BUSINFSS (Cont.) <br />o. continued... <br />asbestos. This is in preparation for <br />demolishing the structures. The proposed <br />fee is at hourly rates, estimated $9,390, but <br />will not exceed $13,470. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Ms. Auburn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the proposal from <br />Grauvogel & Associates for professional <br />services in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata acknowledged the death of Jeanne <br />.; Derbeck, former South Bend Tribune reporter <br />who covered the Redevelopment Commission for <br />a number of years. She was a very nice, unique <br />s individual and we are sorry to hear of her death. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that 1994 had been a very busy <br />year and summarized some of the <br />accomplishments of the Commission in 1994: <br />Completed the Stephenson Mill project with 39 <br />apartments, including the public improvements at <br />the site. <br />Nearly completed the Central High School <br />Apartments with 107 apartments, including the <br />public improvements for that site. <br />Worked with the Mayor's office and Controller's <br />office to bring about the financing for the College <br />Football Hall of Fame. <br />-37- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM GRAUVOGEL & ASSOCIATES FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SAMPLE - <br />EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />
