South Bend Redevelopment Commission
scheduled Regular Meeting - January 4, 1995
n 1
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
e. Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1309 a
supplemental appropriation resolution of
the City of South Bend Redevelopment
Commission. (South Bend Central
Development Area)
Mrs. Kolata asked that the following items
be entered into the record: 1) an affidavit
from the South Bend Tribune stating that the
Notice of Public Hearing was published in
that daily newspaper on December 23, 1994;
and 2) proof of publication from the Tri-
County News that the Notice of Hearing
was published in that weekly newspaper on
December 23, 1994.
I Mr. Faccenda asked if there was any
objection to entering the items into the
record. There was no objection and the
items were so entered.
Mrs. Kolata explained that the Commission
approved Resolution No. 1308 at its
December 16 meeting indicating that it
intended to appropriate $250,000 of tax
increment funds for expenditures within the
South Bend Central Development Area.
Resolution No. 1309 revises the
appropriation amount downward to
$150,000. The primary use of these funds
will be to cover operating costs for the St.
Joseph/Wayne Street Parking Facility and
the Palais Royale building for 1995. It will
also be used for public improvements in the
area.
-27-
