The purposes or having a new appraiser is that the Park epartment according to State Law needs hree appraises whereas Redevelopment only eeds two. The tentative agreement is that edevelopment would do the appraisal services or the Park Department. They requested that e take on a third appraiser so that they could eet the requirements of State Law and that ending the approval of a bond issue subject o the development of the race the cost of he appraisal would be included, and there ould be a reimbursement. Regarding 6r, we ave found recently that there is a need for person with some survey expertise so that e can relay or more specifically, identify o repair maps etc. for the preparation of he declaratory and also to identify the otential acquisition parcels etc. What e have done here is enter into a contract ith Lang, Feeney & Associates, Inc. beyond and. There are specific reasons for this; ne being that we are working with the ark Department on the East Race and there s a problem with the Park Department aving their surveyors and the Redevelopment epartment having their surveyors, and we eed professional services so that we can ake sure that we are being represented, and hat our opinion is accurate. Robinson: Do we want to take action to e the Redevelopment Staff work out the ails and come before the Commission a later date? . Ellison: We would like to negotiate so at we can devise a contract, have it studied Mr. Butler, and then have the Commission prove them. 24
