<br />Project Overview
<br />118-077A Pinhook Park Site Im rovements
<br />A. Work includes construction of site improvements including but not limited to asphalt trail,
<br />playground, trailhead, boat and kayak launch, concrete sidewalks, crosswalks, and
<br />landscaping at Pinhook Park (2801 Riverside Drive) in South Bend.
<br />B. The Base Bid covers all items according to the intent of the Plans and Specifications
<br />except as listed below:
<br />1. Add Alternate 1 — Overlay of East Perkin Lot: Prepare asphalt surface including; mill
<br />parking lot and remove pavement as indicated in plans. Reconstruct parking lot as
<br />indicated, overlay parking lot, apply pavement markings and install signage as indicated
<br />on plans.
<br />2. Add Alternate 2 —Boat Launch Parkin Lot: Prepare asphalt surface, including crack
<br />repair and apply liquid asphalt treatment per special provision. Pavement markings and
<br />signage within this area are to be included in the Base Bid.
<br />3. Add Alternate 3 - South Fishing Pier: Construct sidewalk connection from trail,
<br />furnishings, concrete abutment, gangway, and floating pier system as indicated on
<br />plans.
<br />4. Add Alternate 4 Picnic Loop: Construct Line G in its entirety, and Line D from Station
<br />10+00 to Station 14+27, and connection to parking lot, including removals, earthwork,
<br />trail, pavement markings, signage, trees, sedge/perennial mix area and seeding.
<br />Construct 2 concrete pads for future picnic tables within lawn area.
<br />5. Add Aiternate 5 — West Connector: Construct Lines E and F in their entirety, and Line A
<br />from Station 10+00 to Station 12+25, including removals, earthwork, trail, pavement
<br />markings, signage, trees, sedge/perennial mix area, and seeding.
<br />6. Add Alternate 6 — Playground Swincl Expansion: Construct expanded playground
<br />surfacing area as shown on plans to encompass swing component, including earthwork,
<br />base materials, procurement and installation of swing component, surfacing, 1 log bench
<br />and seeding. (Note: Flush concrete band will be eliminated at interface of base bid and
<br />alternate surfacing areas. See plan enlargement.)
<br />7. Add Alternate 7 — BolandDrive Extension: Construct Line C in its entirety, including
<br />removals, earthwork, trail, pavement markings, signage, trees, and seeding.

<br />A. Work involves interior renovation of the existing pavilion at Pinhook Park (2801 Riverside
<br />Drive) in South Bend.
<br />B. The Base Bid covers improvements to the first floor Public Restrooms, Lobby, and Social
<br />Hall according to the intent of the Plans and Specifications except as listed below:
