Marguerite Taylor state that there is a single family property located at 1965 Corby in <br />2011, but now has students living in it. Ann Puzzello stated that there is a duplex <br />located at 1260 LaSalle which is grandfathered for students but now has a family living <br />in it. <br />Mark Kramer asked whether a vacant property that is being rehabbed, can remain as <br />student housing. Cathy Toppel confirmed that if his intent is to keep it as student <br />housing, it would be fine. She added that they are working on solutions for student <br />houses and the large number of homes that are being transformed into student homes. <br />They are trying to enforce the code violations on these. <br />Gavin Ferlic asked Dick Nussbaum to spread the word about the housing issue through <br />the NNRO so that people can be aware that a change in tenants can mean a different <br />zoning status for the housing. <br />Tim Sexton stated that six (6) new homes are being developed within the Triangle <br />Development area and more single family homes are to follow in the area. He also <br />stated that more apartment complexes are being developed in the area. In Roseland, <br />there is a large apartment complex that is being constructed from Douglas Road up to <br />Pendle Street. This complex will be able to house up to 400 students. He also stated <br />there is an East — West connect from US 933 to Ironwood. There will be turn lane on <br />Douglas to help with this as well. <br />An inquiry was made as to whether the South Bend Housing Authority located on <br />Indiana 23 was being moved. Marguerite Taylor stated that the State of Indiana was <br />taking some of the property on 23. Tim Sexton stated that the NNRO purchased some <br />of the South Bend Housing units. Also, he stated that Harris Liquor Store on 23 was <br />now owned by the NNRO and would be torn down by the end of September. <br />NOTRE DAME <br />Student Body President Brett Rocheleau stated that the Freshman Bus Tour would take <br />place on Monday, August 20th and the Safety Summit would take place on August 27tH <br />The Good Neighbors Guide would be handed out at those events. <br />Maureen Doyle of Legends stated that the B100 Block Party would be taking place on <br />August 25th° outside of the North side of Legends. Music would take place from 5 — 11 <br />p.m. and will definitely end at 11. They are expecting about 5000 students and there <br />have been letters distributed to the neighbors about this upcoming event. Legends was <br />excited that they have reserved the band "Boys Like Girls" for the event. Maureen <br />Doyle stated that students must have a student ID to attend the event. She encouraged <br />anyone to call Legends if they have any questions or concerns. <br />HOLY CROSS <br />Holy Cross Representative Dan Cochran stated that is was a new school year with new <br />students and they were looking forward it. <br />2 <br />
