<br />.RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Ind:i ,fin&:
<br />That it is deemed necessary,.to improve Corby Street fry. Notre Dame Ave- t'o ft sh Str� ,. •
<br />grading the said Street from property line to property line and constructing cement walk By -
<br />and -curbs on both side of said street in accordance with prof'iles,details,drawings and
<br />specifications on file in the office of tse Department of Board of Public Works of said
<br />City; and such improvement is now ordered.
<br />Said improvement sb.all be known and desi_t nested as CORFsY STREET GRADE,CURB
<br />AD WALK, IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION # 141 174 THE CITY, 0 F S.T)UTU BEND,INJI AIA.
<br />Notices of this resolution shall be published on the 12th. day of March and
<br />on the 19th. day of March,1912 in the South Bend, Daily Times.
<br />Said Board has fixed the 9th. day of April 1912 as a date upon which remora
<br />st rances may be idled or heard by persons interested or affected by said public improve—
<br />ment s and on said day at 10: 00 A.M. said Board will at its office hear and consider any
<br />remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected by said. -imp rovement ands
<br />will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property, abut i g and adjacent
<br />to the proposed improvements and to said City, will be equal to, or exceed the estimated
<br />cosy of the proposed improvements, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer.
<br />A Bond or Bonds to be is-ued to the Contractor in pt-,yment of such work where the property
<br />owner !-igns waiver required, as according to law. Which said Bonds shall bear interest at
<br />the rate of six per cent per annum, payable as provided by law.
<br />Motion made, seconded and carried, that the foregoing resolution be unanimously adopted
<br />by the Board, on this 9th. day of Mareh,1912.

<br />RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />✓ That it is deemed and desired necessary to construct a local sewer,intended and adapted
<br />only for local use by the property holders whose property ebuts.thereon, as follows to —
<br />wit .
<br />Beginning at. the intersection of Longley Avenue and Olive St., t=fence•
<br />North along the center line of said Olive Street a distance of 300 feet smith a'24 inch
<br />pipe; thence still North along the center line of said Olive Street to a, point about 100
<br />ft. South if the South Line of Michigan Avenue with a 20 inch pipe sewer, together.wd.th
<br />the house connections to the curb line along the line of said improvement, and said sewer,
<br />with all appurtenances.) shell be constructed in accordance with profiles,details,draiAdnFs:
<br />and specifications on file in the office of the Department of the Board of Public Works
<br />of said City; and such improvement is now ordered.
<br />Said improvement shell be known and designated as OLIVE STREET LOCAL

<br />William Street to Taylor Street in purQuance of Improvement Resolution No'. 12.0 &120—A
<br />lc12 of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the preliminary order for said improvement heret
<br />fore ad -opted is hereby confirmed. The Board now orders that so much of said street be
<br />improved -with Vitrified Brick, laid on a gravel foundation and twurds the contract to
<br />C. H.DEFREEk he being the lowest and best bidder upon Marion Block.
