Two units rnust have one (1) ton capacity with rear <br />dual wheels. In addition, all equipment shall meet state and federal requirements for operation on <br />any roadway and be in fmmmmctional condition without defects. <br />Vehicles will be required to be equipped with no less than: <br />(a) Emem•gctmcy Lighting having; no less than 4 flashing liglmts <br />(b) Debris removal etuipment consisting of oversize container, broom, shovel, fluid <br />absorbent and safety chains,; and <br />(c) Reflective clothing meeting OSFWANSI standards to be worn by all employees. <br />Any equipment used and maintained by Towing. Company shall be available for inspection by <br />Code Enforcement upon request. Towing Company's vehicles owmled and/or operated' by Towin <br />Company in the performance of the Towing Service shall be subject to random inspection by g <br />Code Enforcement. <br />Throughout the term of tlmis contract, Towing Company, slmall maintain in a neat and clean manner <br />and in good working condition its storage facilities, equipment and facilities and improvements thereon, and all vehicles, <br />nmaimprovementss used by Towing time performance ot'the services <br />Company inrequired under this contract. Amory additions to or deletions fmryona the Towing Comnlmammys tow truck <br />fleet used under this contract shall be immediately reported, in writing, to Code Enftmmcenment <br />3) Response. Because the removal of motor vehicles often needs to take place in a timely mmmanner, <br />the Towing Company shall give priority to all Code Enforcement's requests and provide the <br />Towing Service within a reasonable period of time. Code Enforcement expects the Towing <br />Company to be on site within one (1) hour• of initial mmotification h°om Cade Enforcement. If the <br />. <br />Towing Company is unable to respond within a m�easonable time, Code Enforcement shall have time <br />right to secure another Towing Company to provide the Towing Service. if tile Towing Comlmmmny <br />is regularly unable to meet the reasonable time; request, it will be notified that it is not meetimml � time <br />needs of Code Enforcement, which may lead to a termination of the contract If the Towing <br />Company elects to use a subcontractor to perform the Towing ,Service, the Towing Company shall <br />have the sole responsibility to ensure that Stich subcontractor adheres to the specifications <br />included herein. Any violation of tile subcontractor will be deemed a violation by time Towing <br />Company and the Towing Company shall be held fully accountable for such actions/services <br />Performed by its subcontractor. <br />4) Clean up. The Towing Company shall clean up any debris from the roadway and tow site in order <br />to make the area safe for the continued use of the roadway anti tow site. Debris must be placed in <br />approved containers and disposed Of properly. <br />5) Storage Yard. The T"owilmg Company shall ;maintain facilities for the storage of towed vehicles <br />and shall be responsible for the salb storage of same. The Towing Conmlaany storage facilities shall <br />be secured and monitored 24 hours a day and have the capability ofstorin ; thirty (3o) or more <br />vehicles. The storage yard shrill be located within five () miles of time City, Inside storage shall <br />be available if required by Code Enforcement or ifrequired <br />towed vehicle, for tlm,e Preservation and security of°the <br />6) Corns oj"cc,ation. Towing Company, during time tem•nm of this contract, shall maintain a continuous <br />Vehicl oTowi nmummication between Towing Company's dispatcher and each Towing Company <br />velmicle. Towing Commmpammy shall provide Code 'lu°nforcement with a contact phone number that will <br />be staffed 24 ltotit's a day, 365 days a year. The '170wilmg Company shall always maintain <br />communications with its office and Code Enforcement. If Towing is not promptly answered, or if the line is busy when called by Code E"nfor eme t a tenys e throe m(3)° <br />attempts, Code Enforcement may elect to contact another tow company to service the call Most" if <br />riot all, communications will be made via telephone. <br />
