Councilmember <br /> Jake Teshka seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine(9) ayes. <br /> REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED <br /> Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend reconvened in the Council <br /> Chambers on the fourth floor of the County-City building at 7:22 p.m. Council President Tim Scott <br /> presided with nine (9)members present. <br /> BILLS —THIRD READING <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 06-19 THIRD READING ON AN ORDINANCE <br /> AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 629, 705, AND 713 <br /> NORTH NOTRE DAME AVENUE, <br /> COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO. 4 IN THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion to adopt Bill No. 06-19.Councilmember John Voorde <br /> seconded this motion which carried by a roll call vote of nine(9) ayes. <br /> RESOLUTIONS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 19-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> APPROVING A PETITION OF THE AREA <br /> BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR THE <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1119 LINCOLNWAY <br /> WEST <br /> Councilmember Jo M. Broden,chair of the Health and Public Safety Committee,reported that they <br /> met this afternoon and send this bill forward with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Kareemah Fowler, City Clerk with offices located on the 4th floor of the County-City Building, <br /> South Bend, IN, served as the presenter for this bill. Clerk Fowler stated, This resolution was <br /> presented earlier today by Joe Molnar, the Ordinance Violations Bureau Clerk. I am filling in for <br /> him this evening. Earlier today, he read the cover letter. There are eight(8) applications. They all <br /> went through the appropriate process. This is the process that happens yearly for scrap metal. <br /> Those applications are checked by the Police Department, the Fire Department and Code <br /> Enforcement. All eight (8) of these got checked off for approval, so they are good to go. <br /> Councilmember Jo M. Broden asked, Just to clarify, there are still three(3) in process, correct? <br /> Clerk Fowler replied, Yes, there are. They haven't been signed off on yet. So, we wanted to move <br /> forward with the ones that were complete so that those entities operating have valid licenses. We <br /> will bring forth the other three(3) as soon as they are complete. <br /> This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bills, proponents and <br /> opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. There were none. <br /> Councilmember Gavin Ferlic made a motion to adopt Bill No. 19-17.
