11. A ranking of the recommended signal system needs (detection, left turn phasing, backplates, <br />ADA compliance for pedestrian push buttons) will be provided to the City to address <br />deficiencies based upon the field review and signal system inventory. <br />Signal Timing Review <br />Engineer shall develop and implement yellow change intervals, all -red timings, and required ADA <br />walk/flashing don't walk phase lengths, commonly referred to as Basic Signal Timings, for all study <br />intersections. Intersections included in City Project Number 115-019 are excluded from this task as these <br />timings reflect current practices. This task includes the following items, <br />A. Measurements of pedestrian crossing distances, pedestrian push button distance to curb and vehicle <br />crossing distances. <br />B. Development of basic signal timings for each intersection. <br />C. A comparison of proposed and existing basic signal timings with recommendations regarding where <br />basic timings need to be updated and a prioritization of intersections based on the comparison and <br />observed pedestrian volumes. <br />D. Field implementation of recommended basic signal timings <br />E. Development of basic signal timing standards and controller setting preferences for use on future <br />retiming efforts to ensure consistent application throughout the City. <br />Citywide Synchro Model Development <br />Engineer shall prepare a City-wide traffic model as follows: <br />A. Model shall utilize the latest City -approved version of Synchro <br />B. Model shall be based upon the field review, inventory, and recommended signal timings. <br />C. Model will build upon the models of the Downtown Two -Way Conversion previously produced by <br />Structurepoint <br />PART 2 — ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />A2.01 Additional Services Requiring Owner's Written Authorization <br />If authorized in writing by Owner, Engineer shall furnish or obtain from others Additional <br />Services of the types listed below. <br />1. Additional time (beyond four hours) spent troubleshooting or fine tuning the City <br />Developed Data Collevction Inventory Application will be considered "additional services" <br />and billed at the hourly rate, as approved by the City <br />2.
