This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 6 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated , <br />Engineer's Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1— BASIC SERVICES <br />Field Inventory for all study intersections <br />Engineer shall conduct a field inventory of the study intersections (up to 150) that includes the following <br />items: <br />1. The Consultant will spend time (up to four hours) coordinating with City staff prior to <br />development of the Data Collection Inventory Application to ensure the appropriate data and <br />information will be included. Any additional time spent troubleshooting or fine tuning the <br />Application will be considered "additional services" and billed at the hourly rate, as approved <br />by the City <br />2. Uploading of the existing timing info from the in -field controllers utilizing the Aries Zone <br />Manager software. <br />3. Observations of the existing operations will be noted. These observations will include queue <br />lengths (recurring or excessive), cycle failures, pedestrian operations (crossing at unsigned <br />locations or failure to use push buttons/crosswalks), or dangerous/unexpected vehicular <br />operations due to an unsafe field condition (i.e., signage, access, detection, etc.). <br />4. Verification that vehicle and pedestrian detection is properly functioning. <br />5. The controller's communication status will be checked and confirmed that it is properly <br />working along with accurate clock operation. Clocks will be updated if necessary. <br />6. Photo documentation of each controller cabinet and equipment along with a list of equipment <br />in use in each cabinet. <br />7. Photo documentation of each intersection approach to document lane configurations and <br />signal heads. <br />8. Photo documentation of each pedestrian push button and notes regarding ADA compliance. <br />9. A signal equipment inventory matrix that details the existing detection, pedestrian head types, <br />pedestrian push button locations, Opticom locations, cabinet and controller type will be <br />provided including a detailed inventory of the pedestrian facilities. <br />10. A ranked summary (1, 2, 3, etc.) of the interior condition of the cabinets (wiring, hardware) <br />will be developed to assist the City with future efforts to provide maintenance to these <br />locations in a prioritized manner. Multiple items will be considered when undertaking this <br />review, including use of interior space, existing wiring availability, need for wire <br />management, and cleanliness.
