OPENING OF PROPOSALS — POLICE VEHICLE DECAL DESIGN AND APPLICATION "POLICE DEPARTMENT Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed proposals for the above referenced project. Mr. Gilot stated the proposals will be reviewed and scored based on a matrix system, by a team made up of City representatives. He read the names of the following companies submitting proposals: LNR GRAPHICS 26174 Lakeview Dr. South Bend, IN 46619 SIGNATURE GRAPHICS INC 1000 Signature Drive Porter, IN 46304 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above proposals were referred to the review team for review and recommendation. Main Street, Suite 300 South Bend, IN 46601 UNITED CONSULTING 8440 Allison Pointe Blvd., Suite 200 Indianapolis, IN 46250 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above proposals were referred to the review team for review and recommendation. AWARD BID — SOUTH BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING CENTER I°ER CLASSROOM BUILDING —PROJECT NO. 117-127R (2018 FIRE STATION NO. 9 CAPITAL) Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on November 27, 2018, bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Czarnecki recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Brown & Brown General Contractors, Inc., 124 S. Elkhart Street, PO Box 487, Wakarusa, IN 46573 in the amount of $649,937 for the Base Bid plus Alternate Nos. 2 and 4. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried.
