for a job which may require being a driver of a Company Commercial Motor <br />vehicle are required to adhere to the Company's DOT Drug and Alcohol Policy. A <br />copy of the DOT Drug & Alcohol Policy is available on the intranet. <br />In the case of employees who are subject to a collective bargaining agreement, the <br />terms, policies and procedures contained in the applicable collective bargaining <br />agreement shall control if they are different than the scope of this Policy. <br />The presence in the body, possession, use, distribution, dispensing, and/or <br />unlawful manufacture of prohibited drugs is not condoned while conducting <br />company business, or while in work areas, or while in the company vehicles on or <br />off company property. No employee will work under the influence of prohibited <br />drugs. The wearing, possessing or carrying of drug paraphernalia items on <br />company premises or while conducting company business is prohibited. These <br />items can include, but not limited to, roach clips, pipes designed for smoking <br />illicit drugs, cigarette rolling papers used to roll illicit drugs or injection needles <br />used for nonmedical reasons. <br />Prohibited drugs mean any of the following substances in Schedule 1 or Schedule <br />2 of the Controlled Substance Act: <br />Amphetamine, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, <br />Opiates, Cannabinoids, PCP, Propoxyphene, Methaqualone <br />Any person discovered to be in violation of these prohibitions is required to cease <br />conducting company business, refrain from operating any vehicle on behalf of the <br />Company, and to leave work areas immediately. . <br />An employee in violation of these prohibitions will be subject to appropriate <br />disciplinary action in accordance with Section VIII entitled "Discipline". <br />C. Prescribed Medication <br />The Company will not require an employee to reveal any medication that he/she <br />may be taking or may have recently taken; however, the employee may provide <br />that information to the Medical Review Officer ("MRO") as part of the medical <br />interview following a positive report from the laboratory. Prior to making a final <br />decision to verify a positive test result, the employee will have the opportunity to <br />discuss the use of the medication with the company's MRO. <br />In the event it is determined by the MRO that an employee is taking or is under <br />the influence of a prescribed medication that will reasonably impair the <br />employee's ability to safely and adequately perform his/her job, the employee will <br />Aegion - Substance Abuse Policy & Procedures 5 <br />
