Aegion requires a pre -employment drug screen. In addition, Aegion conducts random drug tests <br />except where prohibited by law, reasonable suspicion drug/alcohol tests, and post -accident <br />drug/alcohol tests in accordance with federal and state law. <br />In addition, we will provide assistance to employees who seek help in overcoming dependency <br />upon, or problems with, drugs or alcohol through referrals to various services if they come forward <br />before Aegion requests that they be tested. You will be placed on applicable leave of absence <br />during this time, which mayor may not include job protected leave. Keep in mind that any violation <br />of Company policy is not excused by admission of taking drugs or alcohol. <br />Legally -prescribed medications are excluded from this policy and permitted to the extent that the <br />use of such medications does not adversely affect the employee's work ability, job performance, <br />or the workplace safety. <br />Alcohol may be consumed at Company -sponsored activities only with management's prior <br />approval. Employees must report any conviction under a criminal drug statute for violations <br />occurring on or off Company premises while conducting Company business. The Drug -Free Work <br />Place Act requires that you report a conviction to the Company within five (5) days after the <br />conviction. <br />This is a brief summary of our drug/alcohol policy. If you have questions, your location <br />management or the Safety Department can provide additional details and procedures. <br />FO-IMMAW <br />This section of the Handbook highlights some features of some of our benefits plans applicable <br />to employees in the United States. All welfare and retirement benefit plans are described more <br />fully in summary plan description booklets, which are provided to you once you are eligible to <br />participate in these plans. Complete descriptions of the insured welfare benefit plans are also in <br />master insurance contracts with insurance carriers, which are 'maintained in the Human <br />Resources Department. Complete descriptions of retirement -related plans are in the appropriate <br />master plan documents, which are likewise maintained in Human Resources. If information in <br />this Handbook or Summary Plan Descriptions ("SPDs") contradicts information in the master <br />contracts or master plan documents, the master contracts/documents shall govern in all cases. <br />Employees of Aegion may participate in a variety of benefit plans. The specific plans that apply <br />to you may vary; therefore, please refer to separate and more detailed information applicable to <br />our benefit plans for further information. Human Resources representatives are available to <br />answer any questions that you may have concerning our benefits plans. For union employees, <br />benefits are outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. <br />In general, non -union employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate <br />in the Company's health and welfare benefits plans. Certain waiting periods may apply. <br />In general, non -union employees are eligible to participate in the before -tax and matching <br />contribution features of the 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. <br />401(k) Profit Sharing Plan — provides you the opportunity to save for retirement <br />on a tax -deferred basis.
