Aegion provides occupational medical services, either on site or through referral, for the treatment <br />of an occupational injury and illness. Employees are responsible for handling non -occupational <br />injuries or illnesses through their family physician. <br />Treatment of job -related illnesses or injuries is covered by Workers' Compensation Insurance, <br />provided the proper procedure for reporting and treatment is followed. It is important that all <br />occupational illnesses or injuries, however minor, be reported immediately to your supervisor. <br />If you are unable to report for work, you must notify your supervisor prior to your absence <br />regarding the anticipated length of absence. If you are out of work for an extended time, your <br />Human Resource representative will coordinate with you or your physician to establish a return - <br />to -work date and an evaluation of any possible workplace limitations. In certain instances, an <br />independent medical examiner will be used to evaluate your condition on an extended absence. <br />Medical Examinations <br />As part of Aegion's employment procedures, an applicant may be required to undergo a post - <br />offer, pre -employment fitness -for -duty examination and drug screening that are conducted by a <br />physician designated by Aegion. Any offer of employment that an applicant receives from Aegion <br />is contingent upon, among other things, satisfactory completion of this examination and screening <br />and a determination by Aegion and its examining physicians that the applicant is capable of <br />performing the essential functions of the position that has been offered, with or without a <br />reasonable accommodation. <br />As a condition of continued employment and as allowed by law, you may also be required to <br />undergo periodic fitness -for -duty examinations, and alcohol and drug screenings, specified by <br />Aegion. You are required to provide the Company access to the medical records associated with <br />this examination. All Company -required medical examinations and alcohol and drug screenings <br />are paid for in full by Aegion. <br />Questions about medical examinations or alcohol and drug screenings should be directed to your <br />supervisor, the Safety Department or Human Resources. <br />. w N <br />Aegion has a vital interest in maintaining a safe, healthy, and efficient working environment for <br />you. Employees under the influence of drugs or alcohol present safety and health risks to <br />themselves and their fellow employees and have a detrimental effect upon high standards of <br />performance and conduct. <br />It is the policy of Aegion to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, <br />free from the influence of drugs and alcohol, in order to ensure that the excellent reputation of the <br />Company, its employees, and its products and services is maintained in all its marketplaces with <br />all its customers, clients, and colleagues. <br />Employees suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be required to undergo <br />drug or alcohol testing.
