Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Ms. Kara Boyles, City Engineer, informed the Board that she is in receipt of an email from the <br />President of C&E Excavating, Inc., Mr. Thad Bessinger, informing her that his company will no <br />longer bid on city projects due to the passage of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance. She <br />explained Mr. Bessinger stated it is not in the best interest of his company to provide certified <br />payrolls per APRA requests to the City by the local unions. Mr. Bessinger explained giving wage <br />information to his competitors far outweighs any potential benefit, noting once wages are <br />established, it's simple math to figure out material and sub costs and gain a competitive <br />advantage on bids. Ms. Boyles added Mr. Bessinger noted they pride themselves in being able to <br />offer their customers a great value with top notch work quality. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Ms. Maradik and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:33 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC -WORKS <br />a�'c�I <br />Gary A.
