CUSHING ST. AND NORTH OF VAN BUREN <br />ST. <br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Ned Green, 723 Van Buren St., South Bend, IN 46616, has submitted a <br />request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Fire Department and <br />Street Department. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in receipt of unfavorable recommendations <br />concerning this Vacation Petition from Community Investment and Engineering who both stated <br />the vacation would make access to the lands of the aggrieved person by means of public way <br />difficult or inconvenient and would hinder the use of a public right-of-way by the neighborhood <br />in which it is located or to which it is contiguous. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion for an <br />unfavorable recommendation for the request for vacation. Ms. Doran seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH/SOUTH <br />ALLEY NORTH OF BRYAN ST., SOUTH OF CULVER ST., TO FIRST EAST/WEST <br />ALLEY <br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Willie Rogers, 1033 W. Bryan St., South Bend, IN 46616, has submitted <br />a request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, <br />Streets, Community Investment and Engineering. Mr. Gilot advised the Fire Department states <br />the vacation would make access to the lands of the aggrieved person by means of public way <br />difficult or inconvenient, noting the water supply for structure fires is at the cross alley.
