2. Engineer, through their geotechnical sub -consultant, will provide soil borings to examine <br />underlying soil conditions and properties necessary for Engineer to design new pedestrian <br />trails. Soil borings will consist of six (6) at 5-foot deep and two (2) at 10-foot deep. The <br />findings will be included in an accompanying geotechnical report. <br />B. Engineer's services under the Survey and Geotechnical Services Phase will be considered complete <br />on the date when the final survey and geotechnical reports have been delivered to Owner. <br />A1.02 Section 106INEPA Services <br />A. Engineer shall:. <br />1. Complete the LWCF Environmental Screening Form (ESF) which is used to identify the <br />level of environmental documentation required for LWCF-funded projects. The ESF <br />provides supporting documentation for a recommendation that the project meets criteria to <br />be categorically excluded (CE) from further NEPA review. The following tasks will be <br />performed: <br />a. Field reconnaissance of the project area. <br />b. Prepare project area graphics and photographs. <br />c. Review existing documentation pertaining to the project. <br />d. Agency coordination and environmental studies. <br />e. Obtain an official USFWS threatened and endangered species list. <br />f. Conduct a review of the IndianaMap website's "red flag" data layers to determine the <br />presence of resources or issues of concern. This task will include review if the IDEM <br />Virtual File Cabinet records pertaining to hazardous materials sites, as appropriate. <br />g. Prepare a draft LWCF ESF for submittal to IDNR-DOR. <br />h. Revise the draft LWCF ESF and submit a final ECF for IDNR-DOR approval. <br />2. Perform Section 106 consultation and prepare Section 106 Documentation pertaining to the <br />Project's potential to result in effects upon historic properties, pursuant to 36 CFR 800. The <br />Section 106 review will be coordinated with appropriate agencies including the Client, the <br />IDNR Division of Outdoor Recreation (DOR), IDNR Division of Historic Preservation and <br />Archaeology (DHPA) State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and other <br />agencies/parties that express an interest in participating in the review. The following <br />Section 106 tasks related to a finding of "No Historic Properties Affected" or "No Adverse <br />Effect" will be performed: <br />a.
