201 Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 456 for cleaning outand deepen- ing McCartney Creek from Beck's Lake or LaSalle Lake to a point 300 feet north of the center of Vassar Avenue. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. A. nd. the Board being fully advised in the premises decides -that the benefits to proper° y liable to be assessed for said improvements are .equal to the estimated colt of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final actio n on.said resolution as originally adoptedp and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and -approved. Resolved further that notices be published on the 21st. day of July 1916 and on the 28th., day of July 1916 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A .M. on the 8th. day of August ° 1916. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 459. for sidewalk on east side of Miami Street from North line of Lot 192 in the South East Addition to a,point 4084 feet north of the north line of lot 192 in South East Addition. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The board after aue consideration decided to defer all action on same until Tuesday August ist.1916 at 7:45 P.M. Hearing had on improvement Res o It ion No. 458. °for pipe sewer on Miami Street from Fox Street to Ewing Avenue, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as re orted by th, City Civil Engineerm and thereupon takes final action on said resolu- tion as originally adoptedm and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and a oproved. Resolved furtherm that notices be published on the 21st. day of July 1915 and on the 28th. day of July 1916 in a newspaper of general circulation in s,,.id City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the onstruction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 8th. day of August 1916. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all b ids . Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 457 for pipe sewer on Frances Street from South Bend Avenue to a point 100 feet north of the north line of Sorin Street In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearng no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal Yo the estimated cost of the same, as re ported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things rati- fied,, confirmed and a opr oved . Resolved further, that notices'be published on the 21st. day of July 1916 and on the 28th. day of July 1916 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for grade, curb and walk on South side of Ewing Avenue from Michigan Street to St. Joseph Street under Improvement Resolution No. 428. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed June 27th. 1916 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shorn on said roll., and the Board further find that theroll filed June 37th. 1916 and the final estimate allowed June 27th.,1916 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, con- firmed and approved. The Board ordered that a boulevard light be placed at the end of —boulevard lights on Jefferson Blvd. on pole now installed.
