Area Board of Zoning Appeals—February 1, 2012
MR. HAWLEY: You'll be leasing it out. Okay.
MR. FEDDER: Now this copy of the lease that you gave us, we're going to keep that.
MS. O'NEAL: I need to make a copy or something because I need that back.
MR. LYONS TOOK THE LEASE AND MADE A COPY FOR THE BOARD
MR. PHIPPS: There would be a sign on the front of the building directing people to your parking area then?
MS. O'NEAL: Yes.
MR. CRUMLISH: I have a question but Mark stepped out of the room. What is the size of the parking
space by statute here?
MR. BULOT: It's 9' by 20' far ,..
MR. CRUMLISH: The drawing is showing it is 9' by 18'.
MR. BULOT: It can be and I wasn't finished with the other' part of the statement or it can be architectural
graphic standards which is the smaller version.
IN FAVOR
MR. GARY MARTIN: I represent the Schilli National Lease directly across the street at 1919 W. Western.
I just have a couple comments. I'm not speaking on behalf or opposing but we try to operate as a 24 hour
service center for semi trucks and trailers. And we're concerned, my concern is the overflow if that ends up
in our parking across the street it may prevent us from being able to do business in our 24 h our service that
we offer to our truck driving companies. Number two and lastly, Laving a safety engineering degree, another
concern of mine would be if the did come into the overflow is the issue of public safety.
MR. FEDDER: Sir do you have a sign there right now that says private parking only, violators will be
towed?
MR. MARTIN: I cannot answer that at this point.
MR. FEDDER: I would certainly think that if that was a concern I would have that there so any patrons of
any place would see that they can't park there.
MR. MARTIN: Okay.
MR. HAWLEY: Is there any fencing around it or...?
54
