3.16 ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT <br />All electrical equipment shall be electromagnetic radiation suppressed, filtered, or <br />shielded to prevent interference with radio and telemetry equipment. The RFI shall <br />not exceed SAE J551 limits. <br />Y_ZN <br />3,17 SPOTLIGHT <br />There shall be one (1) Optronics "BlueEye 4000" hand-held spotlight (400,000- <br />candle power) hardwired and located behind the driver seat. The spotlight must be <br />weatherproof, corrosion and chip resistant, have a non -glare "BlueEye" bulb, and <br />have a momentary "on" switch. A hanger shall be supplied for the spotlight. Y <br />4,0 SIREN <br />A Federal, model #PA300MSC siren with microphone shall be provided. It shall <br />include wail, yelp, air horn, Hi-Lo tone, user selectable switching for horn ring tap and <br />press/hold, manual horn/siren and radio rebroadcast. Fused circuit failure protection, <br />front panel public address volume control and built-in noise canceling microphone <br />are also included. <br />Y �N <br />4.1 SPEAKERS <br />A CPI #SA4311 D speaker shall be securely bolted through the chassis OEM front <br />bumper on the driver's side. <br />A CPI #SA4311 P speaker shall be securely bolted through the chassis OEM front <br />bumper on the passenger's side. s <br />Y /N <br />4.2 AIR HORNS <br />Two (2) Grover Stuttertone non-adjustable air horns shall be provided and installed <br />on the hood. The air horns shall be powered by the chassis OEM compressor & air <br />reservoir. A check valve shall be installed between the air horns and the air reservoir <br />to prevent depletion of air reservoir. <br />4.2.1 A foot pedal switch shall be provided on the outboard, vertical surface of the <br />floor on the passenger's side of the cab. It shall activate the air horns. Labeled <br />"AIR HORN" <br />Y �! <br />4.2.2 A lanyard shall be provided in the center of the headliner of the cab. It shall <br />activate the air horns. <br />Y ✓N <br />4.3 BACKUP ALARM <br />A Preco, Model #230 backup alarm (or equal) shall be installed on a 2" x 2" floor tube <br />at the rear of the ambulance. This alarm shall activate whenever the ambulance is <br />put into reverse gear. There shall be a momentary switch in the driver's switch <br />console that will cancel the alarm. The system shall have an automatic reset to <br />activate the alarm the next time the vehicle is placed into reverse. When activated, <br />this alarm shall generate an intermittent warning tone at a minimum of 97 dB as <br />prescribed by KKK-A-1822F. <br />30 <br />
