L FAAAVA <br />APPENDIX A (Continued) <br />Some of the additional Preliminary Design tasks have included: <br />Traffic Signal Warrant Analyses at two intersections <br />• An alternative Design with Barbee Street Extended on the Carl Kay Property <br />• Driveway Access scenarios for the Republican Headquarters <br />• Alternatives for the Shared Use Path <br />• Alternatives for the cross -over location and access (align with Main Street vs. align <br />with Walter Street) <br />• Driveway Alternatives and meetings with the Scooter Warehouse <br />• Alternatives for the hillside (Park) cut and excavation at the east end of Barbie Street <br />• Radius alternatives at the intersection of Main Street and Chippewa Avenue <br />• Alternatives for the AMC Theatres Driveway Access <br />• Alternative additional drive for the Post Office off Barbie Street Extended <br />• Alternatives for Access to Wendy's from Walter Street. <br />Also, we have included a small contingency for more preliminary design alternatives <br />which are likely as more affected property owners are dealt with. <br />Detail and Final Design Services <br />An additional amount of approximately 2,300 lineal feet of plan work is required to incorporate <br />the original 2nd and 3`d project stages. Also, the extension of work east of South Michigan Street <br />involves the design of a Retention pond and overflow connection. <br />Some of the additional final design tasks and elements include: <br />• 60 additional plan, detail and cross section sheets <br />• Grading Plan design and details for 2 additional areas <br />• One additional Public Information Meeting. <br />Right -of -Way Engineering (Parcel Plats & Legal Descriptions) <br />The current design agreement was based upon 26 parcels. As a direct result of the revised <br />connection concept and expanding scope, we have estimated a total of 44 parcels will be <br />needed. <br />The additional parcel work includes: <br />7 parcels beyond the original 26 that require R/W acquisition <br />• 4 parcels that will be transferred between the City and Caroline Partners <br />• 2 parcels resulting from vacated R/W that will need to be transferred back to the City <br />• 4 RAW vacation descriptions to expand developable area of the Gates property, <br />remove unused portions of Lafayette Boulevard, Main Street, and Metalmation from <br />public street roles <br />• 1 Parcel that will require ingress /egress easement composition and drawing for <br />altered access. <br />October 12, 2011 Page 2 Project File No. 9020.70 <br />
