South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Regular Meeting—September 27, 2011 <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br /> C. Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (4) continued... <br /> site, infrastructure and facility design. The <br /> total estimate of all work in this <br /> predevelopment phase is $206,900. <br /> Those funds will be loaned to the project <br /> from the Airport TIF and all but $15,000 will <br /> be reimbursed to the TIF once the project <br /> goes to scale the funding flows in from state <br /> and federal sources. Mr. Meteiver is making <br /> sure this is done in legal fashion. The <br /> proposal consists of three pieces of design <br /> work: site layout at $132,200, though the <br /> budgeted amount being asked for here is only <br /> $119,000 because $13,200 is being paid for <br /> from other sources); facility design at <br /> $81,000 (budgeted amount of$72,900) and <br /> infrastructure design at $15,000, none of <br /> which has been paid and is not reimbursable. <br /> Mr. Downes asked if the Commission can be <br /> assured of reimbursement. Mr. Inks <br /> responded that the agreement is verbal at this <br /> point. The understanding is when the project <br /> is financed these costs would be included in <br /> the financing. <br /> Mr. Varner noted that as of last evening at <br /> the Common Council meeting, it wasn't <br /> certain the Council will support the <br /> financing. The project's been included with <br /> construction of new Fire Stations 5 and 9. <br /> Commission consideration of this might be <br /> premature at this time. <br /> Mr. Gibney stated that there is no <br /> 19 <br />
