South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Regular Meeting—September 27, 2011 <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br /> C. Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (3) Resolution No. 2859 adopting a <br /> Declaration of Covenants and Easements <br /> for Ignition Park. <br /> Mr. Inks requested that this item be tabled <br /> until further notice. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION TABLED RESOLUTION No.2859 <br /> Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br /> Commission tabled Resolution No. 2859 <br /> (4) Resolution No. 2918 approving and <br /> authorizing the execution of an Addendum <br /> to the Master Agency Agreement <br /> (Regional Fire Training Center Project). <br /> Mr. Sikora noted that the Regional Fire <br /> Training Center is a multi-disciplinary public <br /> safety project that has been in development <br /> for the past 10 years by the City of South <br /> Bend and in coordination with other local <br /> public safety agencies. The proposed facility <br /> will be located adjacent to the existing crash- <br /> fire-rescue airplane fuselage training area on <br /> the western end of the South Bend Regional <br /> Airport on land owned by the St. Joseph <br /> County Airport Authority. The center part of <br /> the training center project will be a five story <br /> tower with four distinct facade types <br /> (residential, commercial, industrial, and <br /> apartment)that will be used to train on <br /> exterior and interior fire fighting. <br /> The purpose of this Addendum is to provide <br /> predevelopment funds for the project to <br /> move it forward this calendar year. The <br /> Addendum has four sub-projects which relate <br /> to specific vendor contracts (Projects 1-3) for <br /> 18 <br />
