South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -March 10, 2006 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(} continued... <br />Ten year tax abatement. We can talk <br />about that, I suppose. I'm looking here <br />and saying as a representative of the <br />public, what is the public going to get <br />from your project? It looks like we're <br />paying the entire freight. You're not <br />putting any money into this thing. You <br />talk in a vague way about having some <br />potential financing, but you don't have <br />anything concrete now. I'm kind of <br />frustrated about this whole process. <br />Mr. Keen: Well, the frustration is a little <br />bit shared. We've been trying to get some <br />feedback as well. There's some stuff <br />we're not getting answers on. <br />Mr. Hojnacki: What haven't you gotten <br />an answer on? <br />Mr. Keen: We tried to find some <br />information out about tax load and tax <br />information. We haven't been able to get <br />much of that. We've been trying to get <br />some information about what kinds of <br />deals might be-the city is the one who put <br />in the RFP that we would be willing to <br />engage in some sort of partnership. We <br />asked to see what that might be-no <br />response. So we're sort of feeling like... <br />Mr. Hojnacki: You've got to tell us what <br />you're going to do ! What we have is a <br />piece of property over here that we're <br />trying to do something with. What we <br />said to anybody who's interested, tell us <br />what yo u want to do with it and we' 11 <br />38 <br />
