South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — December 17, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area (Title, 412 S. <br />Lafayette) <br />Mr. Williams noted that Meridian Title Corp. <br />submitted a proposal do perform the title <br />search for a cost of $100. Staff recommends <br />accepting the proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area and <br />accepted the proposal from Meridian Title <br />Corp. for the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. (Title Work, 412 S. Lafayette) <br />(5) Commission approval requested for First <br />Amendment to Commercial Lease with <br />Kendall Catering, Inc. in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Mr. Williams noted that in April 2004 the <br />owner of Kendall Catering (a.k.a. Billie's <br />Catering) requested to amend her lease to <br />rent a smaller portion of the space covered in <br />her current lease. She has dropped the <br />restaurant portion of her business and will <br />concentrate on the catering only, so she does <br />not need the eating area. She is reducing <br />from 2,744 sft to 1,788 sft. That portion is <br />the western portion of the retail space and <br />includes the kitchen. The Commission <br />approved the downsize in concept. This is <br />the Amendment to Lease document for <br />ILI approval. <br />17 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />AND ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM MERIDIAN <br />TITLE CORP. FOR THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND <br />FEE PROPOSED. (TITLE WORK, 412 S. <br />LAFAYETTE) <br />
