South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -July 20, 2007 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />H. Airport Economic Development Area <br />continue ... <br />approval of the concept and will bring back <br />the final Purchase Agreement at a future <br />meeting. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Peczkowski, seconded <br />by Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the concept of a <br />counter offer from Caroline Partners LLC <br />and authorized staff to complete negotiations <br />and draw up the Purchase Agreement. <br />I. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />There was no business in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />J. Douglas Road Economic Development Area <br />There was no business in the Douglas Road <br />Economic Development Area. <br />K. Other <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2364 making certain <br />findings regarding proposed Mishawaka <br />Avenue Urban Renewal Area. <br />Mr. Dressel, Community Development, <br />noted that the Mishawaka Avenue corridor is <br />along serving corridor that has direct links to <br />the River Park neighborhood. However, the <br />economic downtown affecting other parts of <br />the city has had a blighting affect on that <br />corridor. It still serves to support the <br />neighborhood, but several limitations have <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CONCEPT OF A <br />COUNTER OFFER FROM CAROLINE PARTNERS <br />LLC AND AUTHORIZED STAFF TO COMPLETE <br />NEGOTIATIONS AND DRAW UP THE PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT <br />56 <br />
