Staff requests approval <br />of this proposal for anot-to-exceed amount <br />of $2,500. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Peczkowski and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the request for <br />proposal and accepted the proposal from <br />Ranch Harner & Associates for a fee not to <br />exceed $2,500. <br />(3) Staff report on acquisition of property in <br />the South Side Development Area. (4223 S. <br />Main St.) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that staff has been <br />working with legal counsel representing <br />Caroline Partners LLC to prepare a counter <br />offer proposal for 4223 S. Main Street. The <br />outline of the counter offer proposes that <br />there would be acceptance of the price <br />($65,500) but instead of cash, using the <br />$65,500 to provide professional services for <br />environmental review and demolition of <br />certain properties listed in the counter offer, <br />transfer of excess property not needed (4201, <br />4209, 4223, 4309 S. Main St.) for future <br />improvement, transfer of excess property <br />related to West Ireland Road project (201 W. <br />Ireland Rd), coordination of the Lafayette St. <br />vacation and transfer of any access property <br />of the street vacation related to the West <br />Ireland Road project. Mr. Schalliol said it <br />was a good counter offer in concept, but <br />needs some legal work.
