South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting -July 20, 2007
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
A. Public Hearings
continue ...
question I have.
Council Member Rouse: I would just caution
that the Council has concerns about TIF
anyway. That's public knowledge. I would
recommend not passing this, table it. I'm not
voting against it, but the Council would have
some concerns and I have some concerns and
Marty has raised some them. Sometimes we
have an impression and it's taken to mean to
go different ways. I'm not saying it's not a
good resolution, but I would caution that we
probably need to do a little more discussion
and dialog.
Ms. Jones: I concur with you. Greg and I
were just saying that I think I would ask this
to be tabled.
Mr. Downes made a motion to table
ResolutionNo. 2354.
Mr. Bartylla: Will we get the same
notification when you bring it back to the
table?
Ms. Jones: We'll have to. ~Ue hope we give
more notification. We'll try to get
Resolution No. 2354 posted on our ~Ueb site.
Mr. Downes: There will be legal notification.
Mr. Peterson: There are two approaches: you
can continue the public hearing which does
not require notice to the paper, but we could
notify by other means; or you could hold
31
