(1) When the limits in a categorical Pretreatment Standard are expressed <br />only in terms of mass of pollutant per unit of production, the Director may <br />calculating effluent limitation-s_applicable to individual Industrial Users. <br />(2)_ State and local requirements and limitations on discharges shaIl be <br />met by all dischargers when such requirements and limitations are more <br />stringent than Federal requirements and limitations_ <br />(3) When wastewater subject to a categorical Pretreatment Standard is <br />mixed with wastewater not regulated by the same Standard, the Director <br />shall impose- an alternate limit in accordance with 40 CFR 403.6 e . <br />(4) Once included in its permit, the Industrial User shalt comply with the <br />equivalent limitations developed in lieu of the „promulgated categorical <br />Standards from which the equivalent limits were derived. <br />When a categorical Pretreatment Stand_ and specifies one limit for <br />calculating daily maximum discharge limitations, and a second limit for <br />calculating,, monthly average discharge limitations, the same production or <br />flow figure shall be used in calculating both the average and the daily <br />maximum equivalent limitations. <br />Any Industrial User operating under a permit incorporating'_ equivalent <br />mass or concentration limits calculated from a production -based Standard <br />shall notify the Director within two (2)_ business days User has a <br />reasonable basisto -know that the production level will significantly <br />change within the next calendar month. _ -_Any user not notifying the <br />Director of such anticipated change will be required to meet the mass or <br />concentration limit in its pennit that were based on the original estimate of <br />the long term average production rate. <br />(e) State Standards. Users must comply with the State of Indiana_ Pretreatment <br />Standards as defined at 327I_AC_ 5 -16 througb 327 IAC 5 -21. <br />(f) Local Standards. <br />M The Director is authorized to establish local Limits pursuant to 40 <br />CFR_ 403.5_(c). <br />The following pollutant limits are established to protect against Pass <br />Through and Interference. These limitations may be applied as either <br />instantaneous limitations or daily maximum .limitations. No person shall <br />. <br />23 <br />
