(6) Additional Regulations <br /> (A) Awnings and Canopies <br /> In addition to the regulations above, Awnings and Canopies must maintain <br /> a minimum height of not less than eight feet - six inches (8' - 6") above <br /> finished grade. <br /> (B) Projecting Signs (Grand Blade Signs) <br /> In addition to the regulations above, Projecting Signs (Grand Blade Signs) <br /> must maintain a minimum height of not less than nine feet (9') above <br /> finished grade and must not project above the roof line. <br /> (C) Projecting Signs (Blade Signs) <br /> In addition to the regulations above, Projecting Signs (Blade Signs) must <br /> maintain a minimum height of not less than ten feet (10') above finished <br /> grade. <br /> (D) Suspended Sign (Arcade Sign) <br /> In addition to the regulations above, Suspended Signs (Arcade Signs) must <br /> maintain a minimum height of not less than eight feet - six inches (8' - 6") <br /> above finished grade. <br /> (E) Maximum Projection from Buildings <br /> The maximum projection from a building for any awning, canopy, <br /> projecting sign or suspended sign must not exceed eight feet (8') from or <br /> beyond its supporting building and must not project beyond any walkway <br /> adjacent to the building. <br /> (F) Signs over Public Rights-of-Way <br /> Encroachment over pubic rights-of-way for any sign or structure are <br /> permitted, subject to the approval of the City of South Bend Board of <br /> Public Works. Once approved by the Board of Public Works, a sign face <br /> may be changed and maintenance may be performed on the structure <br /> provided that there is no change to the size, location or extent of <br /> encroachment into the public right-of-way. <br /> 46 <br />
