1.1.5 Field Study
Collect the existing physical, environmental, and cultural conditions of the project area
through visits and fieldwork, cross referencing base data with existing and historic plans,
and the creation of an existing conditions summary memorandum describing physical
factors affecting project development. Utilize collected information to develop individual
project scopes and opinions of cost. Information reviewed shall include:
1. Adjacent use
2. Existing motorized and non -motorized transportation patterns
3. Existing architectural and urban design features
4. Utility infrastructure
5. Existing right-of-way
6. Historic fabric
7. Tree cover and planting areas
Task 1.2 Progress Meetings
Attend up to six (6) progress meetings with the Owner during the scoping study. Meetings
may be used as working sessions and shall include project updates and input.
Task 1.3 Concept Refinement
Based on completed tasks above and projects identified in the master plan, Engineer shall
develop refined project descriptions to include proposed above and below ground
infrastructure changes, landscape, signage, furnishings, and probable materials for each
project. Each project opportunities and constraints shall be analyzed to inform the team and
provide a rationale for the development of concepts and opinion of probable cost.
1.3.1 Connectivity
Identify potential path connectivity to and from the park and within the park boundary. A
path connectivity concept drawing shall be produced.
1.3.2 Multipurpose Field
Identify elements needed to transform the existing ball foiled into a multipurpose field.
1.3.3 Play Area
Develop a design concept plan illustrating play area boundaries, potential equipment, and
amenities.
Page a
(Exhibit A — Engineer's Services)
MCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services
Copyright © 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EiCDC.
