South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting — November 2, 2010 <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2795 <br />related to acquisition of property in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area and <br />$548,000 of relocation expenses. (230 E. <br />Sample Street, Discount Rental) <br />(9) Oliver Plow Memorial Sculpture <br />Agreement <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that on August 20, 2010 <br />the Commission approved a proposal from <br />Tuck Langland to design and develop a <br />sculpture for the Oliver Plow Memorial in <br />the Oliver Industrial Park. The sculpture will <br />feature James Oliver and an Oliver Plow. <br />This is the formal agreement that has been <br />written by our Legal Department. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Oliver Plow <br />Memorial Sculpture Agreement. <br />(10) Staff report on acquisition of property in <br />the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(1503 & 1505 Prairie Ave.) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that on September 17, <br />2010, the Redevelopment Commission <br />approved Resolution No. 2772 and <br />Resolution No. 2773 which set the <br />acquisition offering price for 1503 and 1505 <br />Prairie Avenue respectively. The two <br />industrial properties are located on the west <br />side of Prairie adjacent to the Ignition Park <br />campus and were identified as target <br />acquisition properties and added to the <br />acquisition list in May of this year. <br />24 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2795 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />$548,000 OF RELOCATION EXPENSES.
