Chairperson Kirsits allowed Christa Nayder of the Area Plan Commission to describe the <br />Planned Unit Development. She noted the bill was sent to the Council without <br />recommendation for failure to receive a majority vote either way of APC members <br />present at the hearing. <br />Mike Danch representing the developer outlined the proposal using both an aerial and site <br />plan (see attachment) <br />Bill Schalliol from the City's Economic Development Department spoke in favor. <br />John Schalliol, Director of the Airport Authority spoke against. His opposition centered <br />on possible future complaints of take off and landing noise from the proposed senior <br />residential facility to be located near a flight path albeit one used for only 5% of the air <br />traffic. <br />Councilmember Varner motioned for a favorable recommendation. Councilmember <br />LaFountain followed with a second and all approved. <br />Bill No. 10-20 Special Exception 6879 Enterprise Drive <br />This bill would allow a gymnastics studio in an existing light industrial area. <br />Mark Lyons of the Building Department reported the unanimous favorable <br />recommendation of the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />Paul °Phair representing Holladay Corp., the developer made a brief presentation noting <br />the proposal complemented the Hurwich Farms master development plan. <br />Councilmember Varner motioned favorably. Oliver Davis seconded. All approved. <br />Bill No. 10-21 Special exception for 1019-1021 N. St. Peter <br />Chairperson Kirsits stated a letter from the petitioner was received requesting the <br />petitioner was received requesting the petition be withdrawn from consideration.
