%~~~~ ~ <br />~~/~ <br />~~ <br />C ZONING AND ANNEXATION COMMITTEE MAY 10, 2010 <br />Al "Buddy" Kirsits, Chairperson, Zoning and Annexation Committee called the meeting <br />to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Committee Members Present: Tom LaFountain, Oliver Davis, David Varner <br />Other Councilmember's Present: Derek Dieter, Ann Puzzello, Tim Rouse <br />Other's Present: Mayor Steve, Marti Wolfson, Gregg Zientara, Mike Danch, Christa <br />Nayder, Derek Spier, Valerie Schey, Paul Phair, Mark Lyons, Rita Kopala, Catherine <br />Toppel, Gary Gilot, Bill Schalliol, John Schalliol, Sandy Seanor, Tony Trinca <br />Agenda: Bill No. 15-10 -Rezone 521 Eclipse Pl. <br />Bill No. 16-10 -Rezone Cleveland & Mayflower <br />Bill No. 10-20 -Special Exception 6879 Enterprise <br />Bill No. 10-21 -Special Exception 1019-1021 St. Peter <br />Bill No. 15-10 Rezoning 521 Eclipse <br />This bill rezones 6.19 acres of the western end of Kennedy Park to allow the construction <br />of the City's proposed animal shelter. <br />Called upon by Chairperson Kirsits, Derek Spier explained the rezoning request noting <br />the Area Plan Commission forwarded the bill with a favorable recommendation. There <br />was no remonstrance at the Area Plan Commission hearing. <br />Mike Danch then gave the formal presentation. He used a site plan as a reference point. <br />The plan is attached. <br />Two citizens spoke in favor of the rezoning Valerie Schey and Tony Trinca both spoke of <br />the desperate need for a new facility. No one spoke opposed. <br />Councilmember Puzzello motioned to send favorably to Council. Derek Dieter seconded <br />and all affirmed. <br />Bill No. 16-10 Rezoning the NE corner of Mayflower and Cleveland <br />The site is 43.33 acres going from agricultural use to mixed retail and senior residential. <br />
