Martin, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Kyle Silveus <br />SUBJECT: Hibberd Plaza and Streetscape, Project 117-063R <br />DATE: March 8, 2018 <br />On February 27t", 2018, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br />There was one bidder for the project: <br />Total Bid <br />Bidder <br />Base Bid <br />Alternate 3 <br />Alternate 4 <br />Alternate 9 <br />with <br />Alternates 3, <br />4 and 9 <br />1. R. Yoder <br />Construction, <br />$441,828.00 <br />$1,683.00 <br />$7,197.00 <br />-$5,632.00 <br />$445,076.00 <br />Inc. <br />Engineering found three items on the bid proposal by R. Yoder Construction that were corrected: <br />1) Unit prices were not included on the Bid Proposal Sheet. <br />2) There was an addition error that changed the total amount of the base bid from <br />$441,843.00 to $441,828.00. <br />3) There was a misunderstanding in listing the amount for Alternate No. 9 substitution for <br />Limestone in lieu of crushed oyster shells that changed the Alternate No. 9 amount total <br />from +$414.00 to-$5,632.00. <br />Engineering contacted R. Yoder Construction and has confirmed the correction of all three items <br />listed above, resulting in a corrected Base Bid plus Alternates 3, 4, and 9 of $445,076.00. <br />Engineering recommends award of a contract for $445,076.00 to the lowest responsive 1 <br />responsible bidder, R. Yoder Construction. <br />The Department of Public Works has appropriated sufficient funds from the RWDA <br />TIFF Fund (324-1050-460-42.01). <br />Please call with your questions. <br />Enclosure: Bid Tabulation <br />
