be documented <br />• Device Preparation <br />o Develop Configuration Features — NSI and City of South Bend will review features available on the device platforms and <br />determine which ones will be implemented. This will make up the bulk of the device configuration. <br />o Develop Configuration Scripts — Using the 'Port -Mapping' spreadsheet and the identified Configuration Features, NSI will <br />develop a configuration script for each device that most closely adheres to best -practices and interoperates with the <br />existing network as described by City of South Bend. <br />• Site Preparation <br />o Recommend Service Window —The installation of new equipment is characterized by major disruption to network services. <br />NSI will recommend the necessary service window duration to accomplish the installation, as well as indicate the impact <br />the installation will have on network services. <br />• Cutove.r/Installation <br />o Apply Configuration Scripts — NSI will apply the configuration scripts to the new equipment and perform the cutover to <br />begin utilizing the new equipment. <br />o Configure Inter -Operability with Existing Equipment— NSI will reconfigure existing equipment as specified in the design to <br />interoperate with the new equipment. if additional devices outside the scope of the initial design are required to be <br />reconfigured, a change -order can be created for the additional labor cost. <br />• Testing <br />• Perform Network -Ready -For -Use Testing — NSI will perform the Network -heady -For -Use testing provided by City of South Bend and <br />verify the operation of critical services following the installation. <br />Infrastructure Final Deliverables <br />NSI will deliver a fully tested Infrastructure solution that includes the following: <br />A review of the work completed <br />A network drawing of the scope of the project <br />Final device configurations from installed equipment <br />www.nsil.com WHY we do is as important as WHAT we do (574) 271-0900 <br />Page:21 of 25 <br />
