Installation and Configuration Requirements and Responsibilities <br />This section will cover the roles and responsibilities of both Network Solutions, Inc. and City of South Bend. <br />NSI will provision the network hardware in accordance to the design outlined in this document. The following responsibilities for the <br />Network are required for a successful implementation: <br />City of South Bend Responsibilities: <br />• Provide network schema including access / VPN information, IP addresses, passwords, etc... <br />• Provide NS[ with all required information for configuration <br />• Access to existing network equipment may be required to configure for new equipment to be installed into the network <br />• Ensure proper environmental conditions <br />• Assist NSI in creating Wireless SSIDs <br />• Provide current configurations and passwords needed to mirror the current wireless deployment if applicable <br />® Provide floorplan of building (electronic preferred) <br />• Assist NSI with Network Ready for Use (NRFU) testing <br />NSI Responsibilities: <br />• if necessary, assist in creating new VLANs for new wireless SSIDs (up to 2) this will also require DHCP pools for the new networks <br />that are created as well <br />• Supply AP placement locations for all access points within this project <br />• Install Horizontal Cabling (Cat6a) (3rd Party Contractor) <br />• Test all new cabling prior to wireless system install for new locations (3rd Party Contractor) <br />• Install Access Points (3rd Party Contractor) <br />• Document location of each access point by room number, name, and AP MAC address (3rd Party Contractor) <br />• Configure Access Point Group for all access points in the Morris Center design <br />• Create and configure "Internet -Only" ACL for Guest users VLAN <br />• Discuss and create "per -user" rate limits for guest network <br />• Configure SSID(s) (up to 2 for new install) <br />• Discuss and configure suggested Advanced Wireless settings (Data Rates, Bandwidths, Power Settings, etc...) <br />• Configure AP Hostnames <br />• Perform a full system Network Ready for Use (NRFU) <br />*It is typically not recommended to configure an access point to broadcast more than 4 SSIDs as it can incrementally degrade wireless <br />performance <br />Network Solutions, INC. Final Deliverables <br />NSI will deliver a fully tested Wireless solution that includes the following: <br />• Fully operational Wireless System as described in this Scope of Work <br />Implementation -Scope of Work <br />In this design, Network Solutions, Inc. has also provided a quantity of 2 Cisco 2960X, 24 Port switches to provide access to between the new <br />access points and the network. The new 2960X switches will be configurated and installed in place of the existing AT&T router and network <br />switch equipment that is in place. New VLANs will be created for the internal guest wireless network, and the staff/performer wireless <br />network, The new switches will be installed and terminated to the City of South Bend network equipment to tie into the network and use of <br />www.nsil.com WHY we do is as important as WHAT we do (574) 271-0900 <br />Page: 18 of 25 <br />
