Its mission is to supply water to the residents and businesses in the Central New York <br />Region for the improvement of their health, welfare and prosperity,, in a manner protective of the resource <br />and environment. <br />OCWA received a Platinum Award for Utility Excellence from the Association of Metropolitan Water <br />Agencies (AMWA).This award is given to utilities that demonstrate exceptional performance in areas that <br />include customer satisfaction, operational optimization and operational resiliency. <br />OCWA implemented CIS Infinity as a central component of its program dedicated to exceptional <br />performance. <br />"We made the investment in CIS Infinity to improve efficiencies that would address both customer and <br />system needs," notes Barry Blanchard, IT Manager for OCWA. "By utilizing the features within CIS Infinity <br />that are now available to us such as its ease -of -use, automation tools and extensive functionality we can <br />further enhance our customer service function." <br />Mr. Blanchard goes on to say, "Also, as a progressive utility, OCWA requires a modern CIS system built on <br />current technology that will grow with the Authority over the long-term.
