SEE ATTACHED.
Has AEP explained the need for two (2) four inch conduits? Are both being used or are they proposing one to
be provided as a spare? The City does not need to install a spare if the conduit is not being utilized for the
power feed by AEP for the Lift Station. ONE IS INDEED A SPARE, BUT AEP IS REQUIRING IT. SEE
ATTACHED.
What is the credit associated with the 1-1/4" Conduit Raceway material that is not being run in lieu of the 4"
conduits for the power feed (Refer to Sheets E0.1, E1.0, E2.0)? This is not described in the change order
proposal. THIS WAS OMITTED FROM THE FIRST PRICING BREAKDOWN, PLEASE SEE ATTACHED
CREDIT.
Why does this equipment require a separate H-Frame? Why can't tie equipment be mounted to the proposed
utility pole using U-bolts, Uni-strut and a Back Plate? This would be much more cost effective for the
City. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DLZ RESPONSE TO RR #10 REQUIRING WHAT HAS BEEN
SUBMTTED. THE COMBINATION OF ITEMS TO BE MOUNTED TO THE POLE WOULD BE TOO WIDE TO
ONLY HAVE ONE VERTICAL UPRIGHT. ALSO, THAT WOULD NOT MEET AEFS REQUIREMENTS OF
TWO VERTICAL UPRIGHTS.
Regards,
Jacob
