By May, hopefully, we'll have worked out <br /> all the internal processes to take that off the water bill and to have a credit given to City residents <br /> for any of the payment that has occurred since January on their water bill. Councilmember <br /> Broden stated that it was her understanding that a press release would be given by the Board of <br /> Public Works of the City of South Bend. The members of the Solid Waste Management District <br /> Board will be tasked with looking at the tipping fees that traditionally help finance the overall <br /> programs of the District. These fees can range from $500,000 to $700,000 per year. <br /> Councilmember Broden stated, We will be looking at those fees and also looking at assessing a <br /> household hazardous waste fee that would go across all residents. Councilmember Broden stated <br /> that this would hopefully decrease the $40 annual fee for residents. <br /> Councilmember Broden stated that, later in the summer or early in the fall, the site for the <br /> Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste will be moved from its current location in Mishawaka <br /> to a location closer to the residents of South Bend, at 828 Kerr Street. She explained that the <br /> administrative offices for the Solid Waste Management District have already moved to the 828 <br /> Kerr Street location. <br /> CO UNCILMEMBER GA VIN FERLIC ENTERED THE CHAMBERS AT 7:09 p.m. THE <br /> Q UOR UM IS NOW SET AT SEVEN(7). <br /> Councilmember Broden concluded, stating that the Board meets on a monthly basis and that the <br /> public are welcome to attend those meetings. <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis asked for the date and location of these meetings. <br /> Councilmember Broden responded that the meetings are held on the seventh floor of the County- <br /> City Building and that she thinks they meet every first Tuesday of the month. <br /> Councilmember Davis asked Councilmember Broden to list the membership of the Board. <br /> Councilmember Broden responded that she is on the board, along with Mayor Pete Buttigieg of <br /> South Bend, Mayor Dave Wood of Mishawaka, County Commissioner Andrew Kostielney, <br /> County Commissioner Dave Thomas, Mishawaka Councilmember Woody Emmons, County <br /> Commissioner Deborah Fleming, County Councilmember Rafael Morton, and that the Board is <br /> staffed by Randy Przybysz, Director of the District. <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis asked who residents could reach if they had any problems. <br /> Councilmember Broden stated that she did not know the requisite phone numbers. <br /> Clerk Kareemah Fowler stated that the forms that the Auditor's Office is currently giving out has <br /> the County phone numbers on it, and includes the Board of Public Works, as well as Solid Waste <br /> for the City of South Bend. <br /> Councilmember Broden stated that by the end of tonight's meeting the Council would have the <br /> appropriate numbers to share with the public. <br /> REPORTS OF CITY OFFICES <br /> Representing the City Administration: James Mueller, Chief of Staff <br /> RESOLVE INTO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br /> At 7:12 p.m. Councilmember Karen White made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the <br /> Whole.
