ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br />DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 20091NCLUDING <br />$38,169 FROM WATER WORKS SINKING FUND(#625), $86,700 FROM SEWER <br />INSURANCE FUND (#640), $100,000 FROM SEWAGE WORKS OPERATIONS <br />FUND (#641), $35,000 FROM PROJECT RELEAF FUND (#655), AND $269,172 <br />FROM CENTURY CENTER FUND (#670) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Common Council passed the City's 2009 Budget in 2008 (Ordinance #9875- <br />08, passed November 10, 2008) which included expenditures for various City operations. <br />It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational expenditures necessary <br />for the City to effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the <br />time the City budget was adopted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2009 and <br />set apart within the following designated funds for operational expenses as follows: <br />Fund Amount <br />Water Works Sinking (#625) $38,169 <br />Sewer Insurance Fund (#640) 86,700 <br />Sewage Works Operations (#641) 100,000 <br />Project Releaf (#655) - 35,000 <br />Century Center (#670) 269,172 <br />TOTAL 529 041 <br />Section II.
