ZIENTARA <br />CONTROLLER <br />November 18, 2009 <br />Mr. Derek Dieter <br />President, South Bend Common Council L ~\ ~,. 1 <br />4tI' Floor, County-City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: An Ordinance Appropriating Additional Monies within Various Enterprise Funds of the <br />City <br />Dear President Dieter: <br />Since the time the City's 2009 budget was passed on November 10, 2008 (Ordinance <br />#9874-08), additional unanticipated expenses have arisen which require the appropriation of <br />additional funds. The attached ordinance appropriates a total $529,041.00 from various Funds, <br />i.e., Water Works Sinking Fund (#625), Sewer Insurance Fund (#640), Sewage Works Operation <br />Fund (#641), Project Releaf Fund (#655), and Century Center (#670). I am attaching detail <br />infoizrlation regarding the use and purpose of the additional appropriation. <br />This ordinance is a companion to an ordinance being filed this date which similarly <br />appropriates additional monies from the General Fund due to unanticipated expenses which have <br />arisen since the 2009 budget was approved and passed. <br />I will present this ordinance to the Common Council at its Committee meeting and public <br />hearing and will be happy to answer any questions that Council members may have. <br />Thank you for your cooperation. <br />Sincerely, <br />G e Zientara <br />Con oller <br />iG~=d1 ~4~ r•~P.!'g i.
