Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, this matter is continued for one week to August 18, <br />1969. <br />1053 LaSalle Court: Sub -Standard department having received further complaints <br />of this building and upon motion made, seconded and carried, authorization was <br />given to seek bids for demolition. <br />233 E. Paris: Property is a house in the rear of a barber shop at 233 E. Paris. <br />Four families living there with no electricity as a fire destroyed electric <br />meter and wiring. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, authorization was <br />given to seek bids for demolition of this house leaving the Barber shop. <br />BIDS: This being the date set, bids for demolition of the following properties <br />were opened, Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. Bids were: <br />1601 Langley <br />A Mid -West Demolition & Wrecking Co. $1,534.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking 1,214.00 <br />B & J Demolition 900.00 <br />Vanek Excavating 1,117.00 <br />Mr. Max Moore, owner of the building was present and asked for an extension. <br />In as much as no reply had been given to their notices to Mr. Moore, and due <br />to the difficulty in rebuilding this structure to comply to the zoning code, <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, the contract for demolition of structure <br />will be awarded to B & J Demolition on its low bid of $900.00. <br />402 E. Paris <br />Bryant Excavating $341.00 <br />B & J Demolition 375.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Co. 950.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking 379.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of 402 E. Jackson: Communication from owner indicating a contract for demolition <br />was signed by him with A & J Demolition. This structure was up before the board <br />August 4, 1969, and contract for demolition was awarded to A. Mid -west Demolition. <br />Thete being a permit issued to A & J Demolition it was decided that theyhave <br />the contract and have to be allowed to demolish the structure. <br />213 E.
