9/28/70 <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION # 3-12",, ")970 - BEALE STREET SEWER <br />Plans and specifications for a local sewer to be constructed on Beale <br />Street from Cushing to Riverside Drive were, upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, approved by the Board. <br />It was decided that legal notification and advertisement for bid, would <br />be published in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News on October <br />2 and October 9, 1970 and bids would be accepted at 9:30 A.M. in Room <br />1308 of the County -City Building on October 19, 1970. <br />CONTINUING EXCAVATION BOND FOR DAVE KOLLAR PLUMBING & HEATING <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, a continuing excavation bond for <br />Dave Kollar Plumbing and Heating Company was approved by the Board from <br />August 28, 1970 to August 28, 1971. <br />REPORT FROM TRAFFIC ENGINEERING RE: STREET LIGHTING 800 BLOCK S. KOSCIUSKO <br />This report, prepared by Ralph Wadzinski of the Traffic Engineering De- <br />partment was receivers and placed on file. <br />REQUEST OF J. D. ECKENBERGER TO LOCATE A TRAILER FOR AN OFFICE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of J. D. Eckenberger <br />of Refractories Construction Company to locate a trailer as a temporary <br />office until such time as his existing facilities are expanded, was ap- <br />proved by.the Board for a period not to exceed two years. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage Report for September 11, 1970 to September 23, <br />1970 were received and filed. <br />PETITION TO PAVE ALLEY BETWEEN LASALLE AND MCKINLEY ACCORDING TO BARRETT <br />LAW <br />A petition, signed by Ralph A. Newman and 10 others for the paving of <br />and alley between LaSalle Avenue and McKinley Avenue from Esther Street <br />to Greenl awn Blvd, was filed WiAh the ;Board and referred to the Engineer- <br />ing Department for further study and recommendation. <br />CURB REPAIR ON HAWTHORNE DRIVE <br />Mr. Edward Gorba appeared before the Board on behalf of himself and <br />other residents to request that damage done to curbing on Hawthorne <br />Drive by snowplows last winter be repaired by the City. Mr. Gorba was <br />advised by Mr. Taylor that the City is insured for such repairs, but <br />that a damage claim must be filed within 90 days of the time that the <br />damage occurred. There was no further discussion of this matter. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business at hand, the Board meeting adjourned at <br />12:23 P.M. <br />Lloy S. Taylor <br />J.
