6/29/70 In the matter of said assessment roll, no remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved said assessment roll as adopted and ratifies and confirms said vacation resolution in all things, and declares these proceedings closed and the said, street vacated. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3313 - MIDWEST TURNKEY BUILDERS INC. ALLEY, This being the date set for hearing on the assessment rollshowing award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of a 12 foot east -west alley, lying between Dubail Avenue on the north and Calvert Street on the south and running east from the east line of Carlisle Street to the west line of the first north -south 14 foot alley, and also running from the west line of Warren Street west to the east line of the first north -south 14 foot alley, the Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the south Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on June 5, June 12 and June 19, 1970, which were found to be proper. Q HEARING CONTINUED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3317 - 30 FOOT EASEMENT HYDRAULIC AVE. Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 3317, being for the vacation of an ease- ment described as follows: R That part of the west leg of the East Race which is located northerly of a line parallel to and 30 feet southerly of the southerly line of Hydraulic Avenue and located westerly of the west line of the East Race, which said west leg of the East Race is the Race located on the southeasterly and east sides of Hydraulic Avenue in Section 1 and in Section 12, Township 37 north, Range, 2 east, in the city of South Bend, Indiana. was further continued until July 6, 1970. STREET LIGHT PETITIONS Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following street light petitions were referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation: Petition of Leo Chelmaniak, 1807 E. Madison Street, South Bend, Indiana, and eight others for a street light 1800 block E. Madison. Petition of W. R. Smith, 230 N. O'Brien Street, South Bend, Indiana, and 13 others for street light on Grant Street., RECOMMENDATION FOR STREET LIGHTING Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for additional street lighting as follows: Area southeast of Leeper Park and east of Michigan: Replace 7 Inc. fixtures with 7,000L MV Install 7 7,000L MV at a cost to the City of $28.25 per month. Riverside Drive from Navarre to Bartlett: Leave as/with the existing U.G. Boulevard fixtures.
