6/29/70 <br />In the matter of said assessment roll, no remonstrators having appeared and <br />no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved said assessment roll as adopted <br />and ratifies and confirms said vacation resolution in all things, and <br />declares these proceedings closed and the said, street vacated. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3313 - MIDWEST TURNKEY <br />BUILDERS INC. ALLEY, <br />This being the date set for hearing on the assessment rollshowing award of <br />damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of <br />a 12 foot east -west alley, lying between Dubail Avenue on the north and <br />Calvert Street on the south and running east from the east line of Carlisle <br />Street to the west line of the first north -south 14 foot alley, and also <br />running from the west line of Warren Street west to the east line of the <br />first north -south 14 foot alley, the Clerk tendered proofs of publication <br />in the south Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on June 5, June 12 and <br />June 19, 1970, which were found to be proper. <br />In the matter of said assessment roll, no remonstrators having appeared and <br />no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved said assessment roll as adopted <br />ts. and ratifies and confirms:sai,d vacation resolution in all things, and <br />pq declares these proceedings closed and the alley vacated. <br />Q HEARING CONTINUED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3317 - 30 FOOT EASEMENT HYDRAULIC AVE. <br />Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 3317, being for the vacation of an ease- <br />ment described as follows: <br />R <br />That part of the west leg of the East Race which is located <br />northerly of a line parallel to and 30 feet southerly of the <br />southerly line of Hydraulic Avenue and located westerly of <br />the west line of the East Race, which said west leg of the <br />East Race is the Race located on the southeasterly and east <br />sides of Hydraulic Avenue in Section 1 and in Section 12, <br />Township 37 north, Range, 2 east, in the city of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />was further continued until July 6, 1970. <br />STREET LIGHT PETITIONS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following street light <br />petitions were referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and <br />recommendation: <br />Petition of Leo Chelmaniak, 1807 E. Madison Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, and eight others for a street light 1800 block E. Madison. <br />Petition of W. R. Smith, 230 N. O'Brien Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, and 13 others for street light on Grant Street., <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR STREET LIGHTING <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for additional street <br />lighting as follows: <br />Area southeast of Leeper Park and east of Michigan: <br />Replace 7 Inc. fixtures with 7,000L MV <br />Install 7 7,000L MV <br />at a cost to the City of $28.25 per month. <br />Riverside Drive from Navarre to Bartlett: <br />Leave as/with the existing U.G. Boulevard fixtures. <br />
