424 <br />8/21/72 <br />LETTER OF CREDIT - JEAN MONTI - 1N LIEU OF BOND <br />Mr. Jean Monti (Sanfaye Corp:) appeared before the Board and presented a <br />letter of Credit from the St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company in the amount of <br />$5,000.00 in lieu of a bond for excavation. He,intends making a street cut <br />for a new water line from Lawrence Street to 441 East Howard Street. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried this was approved. <br />EXCAVATION BOND - LARRY SPROMBERG DBA L.S. PLUMBING & HEATING <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried an Excavation Bond in the amount of <br />$5,000.00 was approved and ordered filed for Larry Sp romberg dba L. S. <br />Plumbing & Heating Company to August 16, 1972. <br />CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES <br />Continuation certifidatesnfor Contractor's bonds were, upon motio on made, <br />seconded and carried, approved for: Derso Horvath to January 1, 1972; <br />Peter Schumacher Sons, Inc., to August 4, 1973; Charles McEndarfer to <br />September 10, 1973 and a Contractor's Bond for Abraham L. Kahal to August <br />11, 1973. <br />A.C.T.I.O.N Inc., request <br />A letter was received from A.C.T.I.O.N Inc., requesting the use of a <br />mobil unit to be used initially as a nursery School. This is to be con- <br />struced on a lot at 2910-2912 Western Avenue. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, this was referred to the legal Department.for study and <br />report. <br />PARKING METERS REMOVED <br />A notice was received from the Traffic Department requesting permission <br />to remove four parking meters from the North side of the 200 block West <br />LaSalle Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was <br />granted. <br />INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF STREET LIGHTS <br />The Traffic Department presented the following recommendations: <br />Remove 1 2,500 L and 1 6,0001- lights from the center of Main <br />Street both sides of viaduct <br />Remove 1 7,000 L Langley Street I block West of Olive <br />Remove 2 2,50OL Blvd. Post top lights <br />Replace 1, 2,500 with 1 20,000 L on Main Street and Bronson and <br />1 4,OOOL with 1 20,0001- at Main and Bronson <br />Install 3 20,0001- at corner of Bronson & Miami <br />8pon motion made, seconded and carried, the above recommendations were <br />adopted. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />Street Light Outage reports were ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:45 A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />
