They asked that this <br />newspaper vending rack stand not be on the sidewalk near the llb,rary. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried this was referred to the <br />Police Department for investigation and report. <br />REQUEST FOR PARADE - HOPE CHAPEL CHURCH OF GOD <br />A letter was received from Rev. James A. Graham requesting permission <br />for the Hope Chapel Church of God to have a parade for the opening of <br />their Bible School on June loth at 1:00 P.M. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried this was referred to the Bureau of Traffic for <br />investigation and report. <br />APPROVAL FOR 4-H FAIRGROUND SEWER EXTENSION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved a Project <br />Completion Affidavit for the 4-H Fairground Sewer Extension same being <br />an 8 inch sewer from the intersection of Renfrew Drive and Thornhill <br />Drive, southerly to connect with the 4-H Fairground sewers at a point <br />approximately 365 feet west of the centerline of Thornhill DRive <br />�+ projected and 420 feet south of the centerline of Jackson Road, com- <br />prising 824.4 feet of 8 inch vitrified clay sewer and 4 standard <br />V manholes. <br />PORTAGE AND ELWOOD AVENUE PROPERTY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the recommen- <br />dation of the City Engineer and rejected and withdrew from negotiations <br />the proposal to purchase land at Portage and Elwood Avenues from the <br />Mobil Oil Corporation for street widening purposes. <br />LAND ON INNER BELT NORTH OF WEST LASALLE STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the sale of <br />a piece of land at the intersection of Oak Street and the Inner City <br />By Pass to the Twin City Beauty Supply Company, Inc., and directed <br />the matter referred to the Legal Department for proper action under <br />the new city ordinance on sale of city property. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION ON HIGH STREET FROM DONMOYER TO RIDGEDALE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the in- <br />stallation of 3 7,000 lumen MV OH WP tights; and 1 7,000 lumen MV OH <br />WP light on High Street between Donmoyer Street to Ridgedale Road and <br />space them approximately 250 feet apart. <br />PETITION FOR STREET LIGHTS <br />A petition containing sixteen signatures was received asking for the <br />installation of a street light in the 500 block of South Kaley Street. <br />This was referred to the Bureau of Traffic. <br />A petition containing forty-eight signatures was received asking for <br />the installation of street lights on Gladstone Avenue from Western <br />Avenue to Sample Street. This was referred to the Bureau of Traffic. <br />CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Contractor's bonds were, ;upon motion made, seconded and carried approved <br />and ordered filed for Alfred Bolden to March 1, 1973 and a Continuation <br />Certificate was, upon motion made, seconded and carred approved for <br />Schumacher -Sons, -,Inc. to May 2, 1973. <br />
