Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, this request was approved by the Board. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION - REQUEST OF FLAGS INTERNATIONAL TO <br />INSTALL FLAG POLE ON PARKING METER - GATES CHEVROLET CORP. <br />The request of Flags International on behalf of Gates Chevrolet Corpor- <br />ation to install a flag pole on a parkIng meter in front of 333 West <br />Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana having been referred to the Traffic <br />Division of the Engineering Department on 4/17/72, the Traffic Depart- <br />ment files the following recommendation with the Board; <br />Recommended disapproval; <br />1. The City will be liable for injury or damage. <br />2. The meter is an official traffic control device and <br />unofficial attachments are prohibited. Also the meter <br />may be removed or relocatdd by us. <br />3. Pole could be attached to their sign or building. <br />4. Permit them to drill hole and receptacle in the walk <br />in front of their building. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board voted to deny the <br />request of Flags International based on the above recommendation. <br />MARCH PAYMENT ESTIMATE - SOLLITT CONSTRUCTION CO. - WASTEWATER PLANT <br />ADDITION <br />Sollitt Construction Company files with the Board its March payment <br />estimate for work _performed on the Wastewater Treatment Plant construc- <br />tion in the amount of $258,230.77. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, said estimate was approved and ordered honored. <br />REQUEST OF INDIANA CAREER RESOURCE CENTER TO PARK MOBILE UNIT ON WEST <br />WASHINGTON STREET <br />The Indiana Career Resource Center, 1205 South Greenlawn, South Bend, <br />Indiana requests permission to park an 8' x 28' mobile unit on West <br />Washington Street in front of the Albert Pick Motor Inn from 4:00 P.M. <br />April 23, 1972 through 2:00 P.M., April.25, 1972. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, said request was approved. <br />REQUESTS FROM MODEL CITIES - CHARLES F. LENNON <br />Mr. Charles F. Lennon appeared on behalf of the Model Cities and <br />the following matters were taken up; <br />Request to Hold Parade - June 24, 1972 <br />Model Cities requests permission to hold a parade on June 24, 1972 at <br />1:00 P.M. beginning at 501 S.
